Pre-Purchase Inspection

Looking to purchase a ‘new to you’ caravan or motorhome? If you want to have a better idea of what you’re buying before you complete your purchase, then a pre-purchase inspection could give you the peace of mind to proceed, or even walk away, from a purchase. If the vendor has nothing to hide, they should have no objection to you arranging this.

We carry out our inspection to the Approved Workshop Scheme recommendations, covering:

Conformity – Is it CRiS registered? Are there any known safety recalls? This applies to touring caravans only.

Safety Critical Checks (Interior) – Damp Test, Gas Soundness Test, RCD Trip Test

Appliance Operation – All are checked for their operation on gas, 230v & 12v as applicable

Safety Critical Checks (Exterior) – Chassis & A-Frame Assembly, Corner Steadies, Hitch, Tow Coupling, Breakaway Cable, Visual Inspection of Axle & Tyres, Road Lights, Motor Mover (if fitted)

Please note, motorhome and campervan inspections cover the habitation area only; mechanical and external inspection is not applicable.
